hey guys, I was watching the news, and I saw that Kikin Fonseca (Mexico) its going to play in a team called Benfica (Portugal) I have no idea of that team, and I was wondering if it is a good team,.....

7 players of mexican team are already playing in Europe =) yeahhh!! that makes me feel so proud...

I also was thinkin that some teams are going to be stronger in the next WC, others that will change a lot of players, like Brazil, they have old players in their team.....
I think Mexico its going to be way to stronger than now, Mexican team its a champion in sub17, which means that we'll have very talented young players playing for us in the next WC....

who u thinkin will be stronger or weaker?

Yea Benfica is one of the top teams in the Portuguese league. I think they won the title the year before last.

I think that Mexico is looking to become the number one team in CONCACAF again. Certainly after this world cup.

Only way that happens is by defeating the current top dog anywhere but in Azteca (not done since 1999).

Benfica is a major European side. I think they made the quarters or semis in the Champions League.

Benfica are one of the three big Portuguese sides. They're pretty big, and have won the Champion's league in the past. However, the Portuguese league certainly isn't as strong as the Italian, English, German, French and Spanish Leagues, and is about as strong as the Dutch league.

I think Argentina will be very strong at the next World Cup, with players like Tevez and Messi coming into their peaks, and Riquelme still being around to guide the attack.

Brazil will be very strong, as per usual, just with a different cast of players. Brazil are always strong. Look for Diego in the midfield in four years time, and Fred as a striker.

There will be major turnarounds in most of the major European sides. France, Italy and England will be almost unrecognisable. Spain, Germany and Holland will look similar, and Holland will be one of, if not the strongest of the European sides, along with Spain (who will underperform as usual).

Italy have a good group of youngsters though, and should be alright. France and England may have a few worries though.

Mexico will be strong, and could cause upsets. Dos Santos looks particuarly impressive.

The African teams (particularly Cameroon, Nigeria and the Ivory Coast) will perform well in their home continent.

Top three, in alphabetical, Benfica, FC Porto, Sporting.

The other teams in the Superliga (like Beira-Mar) and the like don't count. Lol.

Benfica is a good team. But any Benfiquista will tell you that. You need to talk to someone who is neutral. I.E. Someone who isn't a Sporting or Porto fan. Someone who isn't biased is hard to come by.

But yes, Benfica is great.

Benfica would be in the top 25 teams in Europe, but towards the bottom end.

They may just crack the top 20, but certainly not the top 15 or higher.
