I don't think anyone believes that the English Premiership is the best league on Earth. It's very clearly the Spanish La Liga. Until the recent scandal, the Serie A could rightfully be considered the second best, with England beating out Germany for third.

Anyone who beleives the English League is the strongest in the world needs a reality check.

Have you ever followed Brasilian or Argentinean leagues closely? I bet you haven't, otherwise you wouldn't have said that. Maybe you meant "in Europe" instead of "on Earth"?

Nope, I very clearly meant "on Earth".

There's a reason all the best players in South America go to Europe. Do a quick count of the Brazilian and Argentinian sides, and the contininent in which they play their football. Almost all of them play in Europe.

Now, if you think you know better than the international coaches and selectors, you're being both arrogant and ignorant.

No way! Ignorant was Parreira, who chose suckers. And they sucked pretty clearly altogether. Why don't you call Parreira ignorant? If he chose all the players for his teams from Brasilian clubs, he would have easily won the WC.

Very good example this is a new player at Dinamo Kiev, a Brasilian Correa from Palmeiras. You don't know anything about him and you don't care. Everybody here asks how was it possible that no one in Europe bought such a marvel. And the Brasilian championships is full of such Correas whom you don't know and don't care. What do you know about Magrao, Pedrinho, Diego Lugano, Fabao, Gustavo and 100 more names?

I know they wish they were good enough to play in the top European Leagues.

There are huge amount of Latins who don't give a shit to play in Europe, and who don't care about bloody European money. If you want names, tell me what you know about Ricardo Bocchini or Norberto Alonso. Also, there are cases when Latins go to Europe only after they have exhausted their potential at home. Example - Alex who plays now in Fenerbahce.
Dude, you just know nothing to get people interested to talk to you. Watch more football, then come back.

I watch a great deal of football.

I also realise that you accepting that European club football really is the best football in the world would require you having a reality check and coming down off your massive pedestal, and we both know that's never going to happen.

Fortunately, as a rule, the more biased the opinion, the less it's worth. No reality could change your opinion, so it's pretty much worthless.

I should clarify. Ask yourself what it would take to change your opinion on a subject.

If the answer is that nothing could change your opinion on the subject (any subject), then the aforementioned opinion is worthless.

Does you great deal include Brasil, Argentina and Mexico? Copa Libertadores? Copa America?

I have a very objective and unbiased criterium to judge European football against Latin. The European one makes me fall asleel immediately (including the final of CL, and the whole EuroCup), while when watching the latin football, I'm afraid to blink.

The fact that Europe has the whole money on Earth doen't mean they have the best football. The fact that Europe can afford buying anyone doesn't mean everyone readily sells himself.

Heeey. Careful about Arsenal. That CL final was at least thrilling! :D

That was an example. I said that one could easily claim that La Liga is the best, or Serie A (see above). Also, anyone could easily claim the Argentine or Brazilian league is the best (see below). That was my point actually.
